Santa’s Magic Workshop

Santa’s Magic Workshop is the second theme that we created at The Best Santa Experience. Having a Magical Experience with Santa right where he makes toys for his Christmas Eve deliveries seemed like a natural progression after creating Storytime with Santa.

Santa’s Magic Workshop was last here in 2020 and the next variation of this amazing Santa experience is slated to return in 2024.

Being able to see what the theme generally looks like ahead of time will help you decide on what everyone in your party should wear when you schedule your Santa Claus Experience every year.

Yes, at some point Santa will include your entire entourage in at least one photo, so you might as well all look great for what will probably be the cover of your beautiful Santa Storybook and your Christmas card!

Santa Claus, The Master Toy Builder

The workshop background is the same one that we use for Storytime with Santa. But, the backdrop is the only thing that’s the same between the two sets. Santa’s Magic Workshop adds his heavy-duty workbench, tools, paintbrushes, and lots more toys and goodies all over the scene.

When your kids arrive, they will probably go right to work helping Santa put the finishing touches on some toys! Then they’ll move on to several other fun activities.

Santa’s Nice List

Those activities include one of the most important to every child, checking to see if their name is on Santa’s Nice List! But that’s only the start of your wonderful Santa Experience!

By the time your magical visit with Santa Claus is complete, they will have read “The Night Before Christmas” from Santa’s Magic Book. Santa will also share stories about his travels all over the world while he shows them how he finds their house on his Magic Globe!

Santa’s Magic Toy Bag

Oh, and let’s not forget about having a sneak peek into Santa’s Magic Toy Bag! Then kids, and maybe mom and/or dad, will take to the skies for a fun ride on Santa’s Magic Flying Sled!

Milk & Cookies in Santa’s Magic Workshop

Then they’ll share a special treat of milk and cookies with Santa Claus. There might even be a Magic Snowball Fight mixed in there too!

And every visit concludes with presents from Santa too! It’s an action-packed, fun-filled hour, and one that none of you will ever forget!

Elf Michael’s Light Painting Magic

Most of our Santa photographs look the way they do because of a photographic process called light painting. “Elf” Michael is one of a very small number of photographers in the world that employs this technique in his portraits. We’re also pretty certain that The Best Santa Experience is the one-and-only Santa Experience that creates light painted Santa artworks.

It’s not easy, and it’s very time-consuming to produce. But the finished Santa artwork looks like nothing you’ve ever seen before.

That’s precisely why we do it! We want your entire Santa Experience to be like none other and so your images should be too. And we’re pretty confident that we have accomplished just that with each of our yearly themes!

Light Painting Santa’s Magic Workshop

This is how it works. Once our main camera is placed on our heavy-duty camera stand and locked into position, it won’t move for several weeks. When Elf Michael completes the light painting of the whole scene, he blends that image with one of the real walls and ceiling, which, of course, was also light painted. The resulting “Master File” will be the basis of each whole-scene photograph in Santa’s Magic Workshop!

Then, on the day of your visit to Santa’s Magic Workshop, Elf Michael will be capturing images with that main camera while he’s also grabbing some cute video highlights from a second camera. Elf Joannie is using a third camera to get tighter close-ups of the activities too.
